Walking Contradiction..

On a very spur of the moment, we decided to go for this hunt. Instead of NY (he couldn't make it), we managed to get a new hunter (CY). I loved the way CG managed to con CY.

CG: Hey, wanna hunt ka?
CY: Cannnn..
CG: This Sat arr.
CY: err.. OK..
CG: Walk hunt arr..
CY: (larger hesitation)... OK..
CG: 6:30am arr...
CY: errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... (oh shit, CG my boss, how to say no now) OKOK.

Thus we proceeded with the hunt. First thoughts? A bit con lar. Ask us to go early early then we get the briefing notes and what time does it start? Flag off at 10am!!!???? (WHAT DA?) Since it was like a big event, and treasure hunt was only one of them, they wanted us to come to add to the amount of ppl in Dataran Merdeka to do what of all things on a SAT morning???

AEROBICS!! The woman leading it was a bit too chirpy for me in the morning, plus I was wearing my new NB running shoes so prodding around in mud was not on for me. It was one of those things that one would watch on RTM1, and change the channel..



So, oklar, after MUCH yawning, it began. As always, we started bad. Even after being told explicitly where to go, we went down the wrong street (HAHEHAHEHA, experience treasure hunter my a**). In the first part, we only felt confident 3/10 questions and no doubt when the answers were announced, we only got 3/10 right! (no tembak skill la, so little shops there only).

I was a bit let down and some more when we arrived at the first control point, we forgot to do one of the checkpoint questions.. AIYOOOO, so had to send CY back the same path to do it. MC and CG did a good job in keeping my spirits up, so we press on in Maju Junction, this is the first time I've been in this shopping center. It was all picture questions from hereon to Sg Wang, to Berjaya Times Sq, and we rocked! MC has reallyyyyy sharp eyes, and the guys did a great job as well. I was a bit of crap team member in Sg Wang, because I've always hated that place, what with the low ceilings plus there is some odd chinese dude singing some odd chinese song on the ground floor, so it was very distracting. (OKLAR, the truth is Sg Wang also got alot of nice cute cheap dresses, so I was distracted...)

After submitting, we had to hang around Berjaya which was a bit of pain, but at last, came the answer presentation and also the prize giving. They started announcing best 10 got cash prize bla bla bla. Early internal calculations shows that we had a certain amount of points, so we said,
"OKLAR, if 30th place higher than ours, we go lar. Quite tired redi."

They announced 30th place, and it was WAYYYYYYY lower than our estimated score. so we like *EI, GOT CHANCE WEI*
So we waited and waited and waited...
and waited some more...

Then we were like, eh, did we count wrongly ar? We couldn't have gotton lower than the 30th position one right? Came position Number 10 and they announced my name as Sh**, I mean what de. OKlar, my surname not so common, but its not SH** ok????

We sent the very deserving CY to go get the prize. Best thing is that this is the first time we won a CASH PRIZE which is not alot lar, but we scored some oats, lipstick and a penholder. I KNOW, odd prizes right? But I'm beginning to accumulate tons of junk from treasure hunts....

Nevertheless, I went back a happy gal as we did 10th place out of 123 which is great, and first time cash prize... So no complains here.
